Salvo

This work by Salvo is a typical example of the mature phase of the Sicilian artist, when by now definitively landed in painting he perseveres in the creation of landscapes of different nature, maintaining an ironic look at art and its history. Snowfall, the snowy landscape, winter, are themes that run through the history of art for centuries, from Bruegel to Impressionism, and often also occur in Salvo’s works. He appropriates them by performing them in his seemingly naive but in reality cultured and creative style.
