The undisputed trait of Valerio Adami leads to unstoppable growth

Valerio Adami, born in Bologna on March 17, 1935, is one of the leading exponents of Pop Art in Italy. Starting from the influences of Francis Bacon and abstract and gestural painting, in the early sixties he came to the recovery of figuration according to the modules of American Pop Art. If in recent years his work has been somewhat overshadowed, today may be the time for its revival. Also on the economic level. With an award for 317,280 euros, The bathtubs (200 x 300 cm), made in 1966, sold in 2014 by Versailles Encheres SARL, is the most priced work of the artist. The first of the ranking is followed by Interno pubblico 1 (239 x 362cm), of 1969, awarded for 254,000 euros from the same auction house. Significant values, but still far from the average of international pop artists, and therefore subject to increase. The style, distinguished by the use of a chromatic material in flat, smooth and continuous drafts, inside the sharp black fences of the design, makes the work of Adami iconic and recognized on the international scene, in a contemporary foreign market far from indifferent to his art. His works, a sort of fantastic and ironic comic book story where in depersonalized interiors are available trivial objects, taken as symbols of modernity, have indices of value constantly growing since 2016. With a price evolution of 12.7 % in 2019, Valerio Adami seems to be the artist to bet on in the near future.
