Castellani

The relief surfaces on paper were for a long time considered minor works, but actually they are an integral part of this artist’s development, stretching over a period from the ‘60s to the ’90s. Produced by punching various types of paper, from the first ones on industrial sheets to the more recent ones on special paper with varying textures, they develop rich geometric graphic shapes with subtle variations but with an absolute formal rigor.
